Intuitive Sessions

A woman called for an intuitive reading session recently and didn't tell me what answers she was looking for. The session began immediately with a message that the problem she was having was in regards to her relationship with her husband. It was clear that her heart had wandered and she was living a lie. She was married to a man she wasn't really in love with. When I finished with my initial input she told me that she had seen me many years before when she was just dating her now husband. I did not remember our session, which isn't unusual. I rarely remember the advice or information shared in a session. I had told her that her boyfriend was not the man meant for her. I had told her in her first session that there was another man for her and I described him to her in detail including his nationality. Now, she has met that man I described years ago. Everything about him was accurate. Her heart is breaking and she's only been married for one year. The message that came through for her was that she didn't know herself very well. She was making decisions based on what others believed was best for her. She was told to separate from all influence for a period of three months to come to terms with her intuitive nature. She has done that. She has moved to another city and started her life over. She set her husband free to find true love.

This Stuck With Me...

"I remember once hearing a speech about what it meant to be an officer of the CIA and the man who gave this speech talked about the struggle to control civilization and how we're always fighting the same fight. He used the Dark Ages as an example. And he talked about how on the one side you had the pragmatic King who was greedy and power hungry and basically took advantage of people whenever he could. On the other side you had the idealistic Church forcing everyone to follow the same rules, believe the same things, all that. Neither the King nor the Church was ever completely right or wrong. Both sides ended up doing terrible things to get what they wanted, really terrible things. But, the point of the story was this: That this struggle from the Dark Ages had been going on forever. That the Church and the King might take on different forms and philosophies, but that they would always fight each other, pragmatists and idealists. And that most times you're better off standing on the sidelines and letting them duke it out. But every once in a while one side or the other decides that it might be better to just blow up the whole world just to get its own way and when that happens you can't stand on the sidelines anymore. You have to pick a team." ~Brenda Lee Johnson

How Intuitive Living Can Change The Course Of Life

I drove up a narrow street, today, to a stop sign and crosswalk. A woman and a small boy on a tricycle began to cross the street from my left and slowly made it to the front of my car. The little boy wasn't wearing a helmet but I hardly noticed that because he was so cute in his rugged overalls. Children have always made me smile. He couldn't have been more than 3 or 4. I saw his blond little head just above the hood of my car when I suddenly saw a superimposed image of him having already crossed to the other side. He was sliding back down the handicap incline at the corner and under the back wheel of a car that was making a right turn, just as I was about to do. Once pedestrians step over the boundary of the asphalt street and the concrete sidewalk, don't you usually think that it's perfectly safe to move forward? He made it halfway up the ramp and still I didn't budge. I waited. He tried to make it up the rest of the small ramp but his little foot slipped off the pedal and he rolled back and into the crosswalk, in front of my stopped car. Neither one of them knew how close it came had I not been warned. Had I not seen that image I would have been moving through the crosswalk, making my turn. Oblivious, they carried on the mission which probably included lunch, a story and a nap.

We are always guided. These messages, images, insights come on a constant stream. The only thing that separates us from the stream are the dials of our own mind. Just like tuning a dial on an old radio we vibrate at a frequency that is clarity and guidance. It is the same vibration that heals and restores us. It is the frequency of heart and mind as one.

What would it have cost me if I had allowed myself to loose that connection today? What if I had decided to actively engage my mind in past regrets or future fears? What if I hadn't been present and connected and tuned in? It still boggles my mind and I've been doing this a very, very long time.

It's All Energy!

"All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter." ~ Max Planck

A Prayer For America

Prayer for America

We ask you to join with us wherever you are, for prayer and meditation for the future of your nation, with the following prayer:

May we as nation be guided by the Divine to rediscover the sacred flame of our national heritage, which so many have given their lives to safeguard;

Let the wounds of separation and division be healed by opening our hearts to listen to the truth on all sides, allowing us to find a higher truth that includes us all;

May we learn to honor and enjoy our diversity and differences as a people, even as we more deeply touch our fundamental unity;

May we, as a people, undergo a transformation that will draw forth individuals to lead our nation who embody courage, compassion and a higher vision;

May our leaders inspire us, and we so inspire each other with our potential as individuals and as a nation, that a new spirit of forgiveness, caring and honesty be born in our nation;

May we, as a united people, move with clear, directed purpose to take our place within the community of nations to help build a better future for all humankind;

May we as a nation rededicate ourselves to truly living as one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all;

And may God's Will be done for the United States, as we, the people, align with that Will.

Calling All Grand Mothers by Alice Walker

Calling All Grand Mothers
We have to live
differently or we
will die
in the same old ways.
Therefore I call on all Grand Mothers
everywhere on the planet
to rise and take your place
in the leadership of the world
Come out of the kitchen
out of the fields
out of the beauty parlors
out of the television
Step forward & assume
the role for which you were created:
To lead humanity to health, happiness & sanity.
I call on all the Grand Mothers of Earth
& every person who possesses
the Grand Mother spirit
of respect for life &
protection of the young
to rise & lead.
The life of our species depends on it.
& I call on all men of Earth to gracefully
and gratefully stand aside
& let them(let us)do so.

Massage Works For Me

The Benefits Of Massage
What exactly are the benefits of receiving massage or bodywork treatments? Useful for all of the conditions listed below and more, massage can:

* Alleviate low-back pain and improve range of motion.
* Assist with shorter, easier labor for expectant mothers and shorten maternity hospital stays.
* Ease medication dependence.
* Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow—the body’s natural defense system.
* Exercise and stretch weak, tight, or atrophied muscles.
* Help athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts.
* Improve the condition of the body’s largest organ—the skin.
* Increase joint flexibility.
* Lessen depression and anxiety.
* Promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue and stretch marks.
* Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation.
* Reduce postsurgery adhesions and swelling.
* Reduce spasms and cramping.
* Relax and soften injured, tired, and overused muscles.
* Release endorphins—amino acids that work as the body’s natural painkiller.
* Relieve migraine pain.

A Powerful Ally
There’s no denying the power of bodywork. Regardless of the adjectives we assign to it (pampering, rejuvenating, therapeutic) or the reasons we seek it out (a luxurious treat, stress relief, pain management), massage therapy can be a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen.

Experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. While eliminating anxiety and pressure altogether in this fast-paced world may be idealistic, massage can, without a doubt, help manage stress. This translates into:

* Decreased anxiety.
* Enhanced sleep quality.
* Greater energy.
* Improved concentration.
* Increased circulation.
* Reduced fatigue.

Furthermore, clients often report a sense of perspective and clarity after receiving a massage. The emotional balance bodywork provides can often be just as vital and valuable as the more tangible physical benefits.

Profound Effects
In response to massage, specific physiological and chemical changes cascade throughout the body, with profound effects. Research shows that with massage:

* Arthritis sufferers note fewer aches and less stiffness and pain.
* Asthmatic children show better pulmonary function and increased peak air flow.
* Burn injury patients report reduced pain, itching, and anxiety.
* High blood pressure patients demonstrate lower diastolic blood pressure, anxiety, and stress hormones.
* Premenstrual syndrome sufferers have decreased water retention and cramping.
* Preterm infants have improved weight gain.

Research continues to show the enormous benefits of touch—which range from treating chronic diseases, neurological disorders, and injuries, to alleviating the tensions of modern lifestyles. Consequently, the medical community is actively embracing bodywork, and massage is becoming an integral part of hospice care and neonatal intensive care units. Many hospitals are also incorporating on-site massage practitioners and even spas to treat postsurgery or pain patients as part of the recovery process.

Increase the Benefits with Frequent Visits
Getting a massage can do you a world of good. And getting massage frequently can do even more. This is the beauty of bodywork. Taking part in this form of regularly scheduled self-care can play a huge part in how healthy you’ll be and how youthful you’ll remain with each passing year. Budgeting time and money for bodywork at consistent intervals is truly an investment in your health. And remember: just because massage feels like a pampering treat doesn’t mean it is any less therapeutic. Consider massage appointments a necessary piece of your health and wellness plan, and work with your practitioner to establish a treatment schedule that best meets your needs.

She Let Go

She Let Go

She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.

She let go of the fear. She let go of the judgments. She let go
of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head. She let go
of the committee of indecision within her. She let go of all the
'right' reasons. Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry,
she just let go.

She didn't ask anyone for advice. She didn't read a book on how to
let go. She didn't search the scriptures. She just let go. She let
go of all of the memories that held her back. She let go of all of
the anxiety that kept her from moving forward. She let go of the
planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.

She didn't promise to let go. She didn't journal about it.
She didn't write the projected date in her Day-Timer. She
made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper. She
didn't check the weather report or read her daily horoscope.
She just let go.

She didn't analyze whether she should let go. She didn't call
her friends to discuss the matter. She didn't do a five-step
Spiritual Mind Treatment. She didn't call the prayer line. She
didn't utter one word. She just let go.

No one was around when it happened. There was no applause
or congratulations. No one thanked her or praised her. No one
noticed a thing. Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just
let go.

There was no effort. There was no struggle. It wasn't good and it
wasn't bad. It was what it was, and it is just that.

In the space of letting go, she let it all be. A small smile came
over her face. A light breeze blew through her. And the sun and the
moon shone forevermore.

Six Blind Men and The Elephant

My first spiritual teacher, Royce Morales, shared a story one night in the class she taught in her living room in Hollywood, California. It is an old story that has it's roots in India, yet many versions exist in other cultures and religions. It is the story of the "Six Blind Men and an Elephant." It goes something like this:

Six blind men were asked to describe an elephant. In order to do so, they had to feel the elephant. One man felt the elephant's trunk. The next one felt the elephant's tail. Another man felt the elephants ear, another the elephants side, one felt it's leg and the last one, the elephant's tusk.

The first man said, "An elephant is like a giant snake". The next one said, "No. You are wrong. An elephant is like a rope". The man who had felt the elephants side said, "No you are both wrong. It is like a rough wall." The one who had felt the elephant's leg said, "An elephant is like a tree trunk." The man who felt the tusk said, "You're all wrong. It's like a spear." they were in complete disagreement.

The story is used to indicate that reality may be viewed differently depending upon one's perspective, suggesting that what seems an absolute truth may be relative due to the deceptive nature of half-truths. They were each correct according to their piece of the elephant, yet all so wrong about the whole or holistic point of view.

Goal Setting

What do you want? Where do you want to be in twelve months? Two years? Five years? Ten years? How do you want to feel? What do you want your state of health to be like? What kind of work would you like to be doing? What will your social life be like? How do you want your personal relationships to look?
Without a destination in mind, how will you plan your journey?

In the beginning.....

In mid 1980, when I decided to become a healer, there was a great deal of trepidation about announcing that decision. Society at large was not exactly open to psychic work or Reiki, Feng Shui or mindful practices. Certainly the seeds for expanded consciousness in had been planted in the 60s with the LSD movement and the introduction of Transcendental Meditation to America, but much of the momentum for enlightened living was derailed in the 70s when the un-enlightened misused and misunderstood the purpose of mind expanding experiences.

Today, there are psychic shows on every channel and "Channels" on thousands of websites. Some are phonies, of course, but many more are attuned to receive intuitive guidance and wisdom. Lightworkers are everywhere. We have organized groups, a Holistic Chamber of Commerce, Lightworkers.org, Yoga masters teaching in local high schools and Centers for Spiritual Living popping up in the most unexpected places. Times have changed, indeed.

In the beginning we kept our gifts and talents a secret, even from ourselves. We hid in a closet of our own making. In 2010, we are coming out of those closets and giving birth to a new awareness of who we really are. Are you ready to "Know thyself"? Are you feeling a desire to live a more enlightened purposeful life? If you are, you are being called to awaken from your unconscious living. There are many Ascended Masters, Angels, Archangels, Guides and Teachers here because the veil between this 3rd dimension reality and the 4th and 5th dimensions has thinned. We are not alone on our journey through this Global Consciousness Shift. In the 60s we called it the New Age, the Age of Aquarius. It has arrived.

Healing the Wounds That Bind.

We are bound by our resistance to feel that which we judge uncomfortable or painful. Who wants to feel pain and grief? Who wants to experience anger and fear? We resist those emotions through denial, judgment and mind numbing habits whenever possible. Most of us would rather watch mind numbing television than feel our pain. We drink to avoid them, shop to avoid them, have sex to avoid them and eat to suppress them. However, it is not the experience of the emotions we're resisting that causes the pain and suffering. It is the resistance itself that is the cause of our inner turmoil. It is the resistance to feeling that keeps us stuck, unable to move forward to our desired experiences.

Healing the wounds of the heart and soul requires courage, the same courage needed to jump out of a plane or ride your first roller coaster. The fear is primal, it feels like our survival is at stake. The ego jumps in to rescues us with lots of excuses and ideas to squander our time with projects or addictions. I say we cannot move forward until we look back and unbind the ties of resistance to that which we perceive to be "negative" emotions because, in truth, there are no "bad" emotions. Emotions are simply energy in motion. Not good, not bad, just energy.

According to the Chinese Zodiac, this is the Year of the Golden Tiger, which symbolizes courage. It requires courage to allow all of our feelings to come to the surface for full expression in order for the energy to be transmuted. Feeling them, without resistance is the work of the Spiritual Warrior.

2010

Wow! What an amazing year 2009 was. I must admit to celebrating its ending. It was a challenging year in many ways and I need not go into it because that was then, and this is now.

My family and I greeted the New Year in San Diego, California with a visit to Sea World and my wonderful daughter inspired me to do something I've never done before. Not ever in my life have I imagined I would do it. I rode a roller coaster. I know it sounds silly but I've been afraid of them since I was a little girl. My sister told me a terrible story about the roller coaster in Santa Monica at Pacific Ocean Park. We called it Pee-Oh-Pee and the roller coaster was called the Sea Serpent. The story was that one of the cars flew off of the tracks and landed in the ocean killing the occupants. That was all I needed to hear to forgo any roller coaster, ever. Well, I'm happy to say I overcame my fear and had an exhilarating ride under a full moon, and a blue moon to boot.

Traditionally I spend December 31st reviewing the previous year, forgiving what needs forgiving and setting new intentions for the coming year. Well, 2010 started out with a bang, not unlike the gun shot you hear at the beginning of a race. I have been as busy as I have ever been with work, family, remodeling, organizing and launching my new class. I've been editing the new workbook and recording my guided meditations and I'm preparing for a new care-giver for my 90 year-old mother. She needs nearly full-time attention these days and I can no longer provide her the care she needs and still do my work. So, I've remodeled the master suite to accommodate her needs and make room for help. It's all coming together so I can be free to travel about the country presenting workshops and group readings and programs for companies to align their message with their higher purpose.

Writing a Tale of Our Future

I believe the future is not yet written. We are writing it now, in the present moment. We write it with our conscious intentions and with our subconscious thoughts and beliefs. We activate our future with the focused attention of our awareness. We launch it into manifestation with our emotional vibration. Each belief has a vibration. We feel it in our bodies. Yes or No?....on or off?.....truth or lie? As more and more of us take spiritual responsibility for our beliefs and experiences we will transmute the energy of our lower-self patterns. The collective, creative mind will always respond according to our vibration. Collectively, each and every one of us is writing the future. I believe we are co creators.
What do you believe?

BTW

I started a new blog: "It Really Galls Me" dedicated to my journey from disease to radiant health. It's been fascinating in just the first three weeks. Come check it out: http://fromdiseasetoease.blogspot.com/

Ghost Busting

I'm a full service psychic medium with a service I'm rarely called out to do. Maddie called last week to ask if I could help a friend of hers who is living in a house where some very strange things are going on. Lights, radios and microwaves are turning on all by themselves. Things are flying off of shelves and the room where her 2 year old sleeps is always cold. Woo-hoo! Ghost Busting! This is always a fun little aspect of my work.

I arrived before noon and read the energy lines around the house. I came in and took a tour around their home as they told me about all of the incidences. As it turned out, the old man died in the house he'd lived in for many years. His house was sold but he never left. After the walk around, he and I had a chat. I cleared the little girls room and returned to talk to the adults. As I began to tell them what I had learned about their "visitor" the pictures on the wall across from me flipped up off of the wall. Ooooooh. It's a good thing Halloween is over. I saged the house and we did a prayer treatment. I got an email today from the family thanking me....the house is warm and quiet now. This right here is the good stuff. Heck, it's all good stuff.
