The Winter 2009 Intuitive Coaching Class started Wednesday, right on time. Everyone is excited to get started on the work we began. I've also started a 6 week mentoring course and that has been a huge success. It seems, as I've noticed and reported before, that the veil is thinning between the lower levels of consciousness and the higher ones. The people who have signed up for these classes are exceptional! I've been so impressed with this group that I may just zoom ahead with the more advanced materials.
You know, all we see on the news, in the papers and on the radio, is how bad things are. Car chases, wild fires, earthquakes, robberies, economies collapsing but have you heard that the green industries are booming? Did you hear that the phycic healers and teachers are doing great? How about the great news about the stem cell discovery that will make heart disease a thing of the past? Brilliant things are happening all around us. It's up to us to look for the positive evidence that this is indeed the birth of the New Age.

It's all good.
God! I LOVE my life! I'm listening to the soundtrack from "The Big Chill". Excellent music. I must say. Aretha is singing, "You make me feel like a natural woman." This is the perfect music to clean out closets and organize drawers. That has been my mission this week. "Out with the old...." "A place for everything and everything in it's place." Windows are open, candles are lit and incense is burning. It's a sunny 83 degrees on the beach today. Can you believe it? It's been like summer all week. It's freaky beautiful here.
Marlie dropped my cell phone in the toilet when she was here for Christmas, bless her heart, so I now have the new Blackberry. Who would have thought you'd have to take a class to learn how to use a phone? But, oh my, this phone. I'm feeling tingly all over. I'm crazy about technology, in spite of the fact that I don't understand how it works or how to make it do what I want...just the fact that it can, makes me happy.
I want to share a story with you. This is the kind of thing that happens with children that gives me great hope for the future. The little ones understand so much more than we realize. It's all good.
Michael, my 5 year old grandson, has been learning about Reiki and energy because, well, he's my grandson, and how can he not? So, when he had a minor meltdown last week he took a bath and came into my office for his first official session. This is how it went.
I lit a candle on the small round table that sits between the comfy velvet swivel chairs. He sat back and I started with, "What are you feeling?"
He took a moment to assess his body and said, "I feel blue and red."
"Let me see if I understand. What feeling is blue?" I asked.
"It's sadness."
"I see. And what is red? Is it anger?"
"Yes." He nodded.
"How big is the blue?"
He took another moment to move out, energetically, and feel it's size.
"You know on the bottom of the Earth, where the penguins live?" I nodded. "It's that deep and that big." He answered with complete certainty.
"And how big is the red?"
He looked around and checked out the boundaries of his red anger. "It's as big as this room."
"What happened that activated these feelings?" I asked, already knowing, as I was a witness to the incident.
It's very challenging for Michael to talk about things. He clams up pretty tight and this was no exception.
"I want you to guess." he said.
"Hmmm. Let me see if I can put it together. This is what I think it might be but I could be wrong, so make sure you tell me if I don't have it exactly right. I think it might have something to do with saying good-bye to Maggie." (Maggie is the Rottie in the photo on my website. Great dog.)
"You had fun playing with Maggie today and when Grandpa Jay was getting ready to leave, Maggie ran downstairs to the front door. I don't think you wanted to see her go."
He shook his head.
"Right then, Grandpa Jay reached out his hand for you to shake and he said, 'It was good to see you, Michael, and I hope I get to see you again before you go.' and you stepped back a bit from him. It must have felt very different from the way the rest of your family says 'good-bye' with lots of hugs and kisses and tickles."
He said, "Yeah!" If he was a bitter older I had the feeling he would have said something like, 'that was weird'. I watched him when it happened and his little boy body pulled in on itself, like a sea anemone when it's poked.
"And just then your mother popped in with, 'You know, Michael, when you show me you can be responsible, you might be able to get a dog.' because she misread your energy. And then I started to explain something to you about pet responsibility because, I too, misread what you were feeling."
I could see by his expression that I nailed it. His body relaxed just to have someone to finally understand what he was feeling.
He said, "I felt like I was surrounded." Which I think meant he felt overwhelmed with all that was happening in those few minutes. It's a suffocating feeling. His hands went to cover his ears as I began my 'pet responsibility' lecture and he shouted, "Don't say anything! You're going to say something mean." and he ran to the corner of the couch and under a blanket. His mother said, "Michael! When has Grandma EVER said anything mean?" but it was too late, he was closed down.
Now, in the candlelit calm of my office, after a nice warm bath, he was ready to deal with it.
"I understand how you felt being surrounded by adults, with all of their eyes looking down on you. You felt sad saying good-bye to Maggie, and confused a little by Grandpa Jay's good-bye, then attacked with Mommy and me talking about pet responsibility.... all at once."
"Yes, and I have been responsible. I've been helpful." Which is true. He is the sweetest boy, always running upstairs to check on Nana and bring her treats. He'll run up into the loft to get diapers for his baby sister when she needs a change. He's just the best little boy.
After a few deep breaths and smiles I asked Michael how big the blue sadness and red anger were. He told me that the blue was half it's previous size and the red was almost gone.
"Are you ready to let them go?" I asked.
"NO! Because then they might go into somebody else." he said with his eyes wide open, looking at me. How sweet is that? So concerned for others. Ya gotta love this kid.
"You know, Michael. I know a way to let colors and feelings go so that they won't bother anyone else. You just tie them to a helium balloon and let them go straight up, back to God, where those colors and feelings are transformed into love.
He said he wasn't ready to do that as he shook his little head, "no".
"When do you think you'll be ready to let them go?" I asked. "In ten minutes, two minutes, or twelve minutes?"
He took a bit of time to think about that...."One hundred minutes." he answered.
"It's pretty late and time for bed so that means while you're sleeping those colors are going to lift out of your body and float away, okay?"
He nodded an affirmative.
"Now let me ask you, Michael. What color would you like to feel?"
"Yellow, like the sun." he said. "It's warm and cozy and safe like love." OMG! Is he just too cute?
We finished our session and he went to bed. The next morning we were snuggling on the couch under a blanket, his head on my belly, his arms and legs wrapped around me. I whispered, "This feels like yellow." He picked up his head to look me in the eyes, and said, "Yes, this is yellow, Grandma."
Marlie dropped my cell phone in the toilet when she was here for Christmas, bless her heart, so I now have the new Blackberry. Feng Shui for 2009
The year of the Earth Ox is upon us in a few weeks symbolizing a year of work ahead. "No work, no pay". The Ox energy is strong and deliberate, unswervingly patient, tireless, and capable of enduring any amount of hardship without complaint. The Ox works hard, patiently, and methodically and it is good year for using this tireless energy to enjoy helping others. Tenacious, laboring, and self-sacrificing for the benefit of all is the energy of Ox. Ox energy is not extravagant and not at all concerned with material gain. Simple pleasures, quiet mind, and a warm, comfortable, stable and secure home is the pleasure for Ox energy.
It is a year for taking action to accomplish the goals set and for which we have been preparing, in 2008, by the industrious rat and it's symbolic 'new beginnings."
What was begun as a planted, divine seed in 2008 must now be seen through to it's completed evolution in 2009. Watering, weeding, fertilizing, trimming and protecting your fertile field, for the reaping, is the work that is expected.
It is a great time to open up your personal space for the energy of the new year to move into your life. The energy you will use to work for your intentions will come to you more easily when you follow the simple practice of Feng Shui.
What I know about Feng Shui can fit in a thimble but I do know a great deal about how energy flows and the importance of how it moves in our homes and businesses.
Even if you don't move your furniture around, now is the time to clean out closets, cupboards, drawers, and garages. Dust under beds and around windows and doors. Open windows (if it isn't too cold) burn off negative energy by lighting candles and/or incense. Move your furniture around and get the energy moving. If you haven't worn it, eaten it, used it, looked at it in the past 12 months, let it go. Look at each item you have in your space and ask yourself, "How does this make me feel?" If you don't feel good about it, let it go. Simplify and de-clutter your space. Bring in items that bring you joy. Think of the five elements, fire, water, wood, earth, metal and put them where you are intuitively guided. Use color wisely as the vibration of color effects us psychologically and energetically. Organize your garage and call Goodwill or The Salvation Army to pick up the items you are ready to surrender.
Allowing Earth Ox into your home will bring you the tireless energy to work for a better environment for us all.

Planting Intentions In The Fertile Field of The Divine Matrix
A young farm boy was told by his teacher and benefactor that it was time for him to go from his childhood home and find his divine, fertile field in which to create his own future. He said that this divine fertile field was waiting for him and would grow his seeds with great speed and with full richness. He said,in fact, this divine, fertile field was so fertile that he should take great caution not to drop seeds carelessly, because even those seeds would grow quickly and to full expression of the essence of the seed's inner intention.
The young apprentice was wide eyed with visions of green fields as far as he could see. In all directions around him he would plant and water and tend to his field with great care and love. He could envision this great field all around him where he could plant and grow whatever he chose. More than anything he wanted to have a sheltor full of, music, song and celebration. He wanted to have fresh water to drink and plenty of food to eat and share with his family and friends. He was eager to start his search for the fertile field.
The young boy left his teacher's side, reluctantly, and took to the roads to find this divine fertile field he believed was waiting for him. On his quest he had many happy adventures. He met fellow travelers with whom to share a campfire and companionship. They sometimes shared stories, songs and celebrations and were never without food to share with each other. He often slept alone and comfortably under the stars and was not at all frightened of the sounds he heard in the trees around him. He found that no matter what the weather or Mother Nature produced he always found a safe place in a cave or under an rocky ledge were he could build a fire and be warm and safe from the winds and rains.
The young seeker discovered that when he became thirsty he always found a stream or well nearby to quench his thirst. And when he became hungry, he never failed to find a bush with berries or a wild yam to eat. He grew more confident as he traveled in search of his divine fertile field where he knew he would build a home and grow his crops. He traveled North and South, East and West. He traveled for many months searching for the fertile field his teacher had told him was out there waiting for him.
Finally the young man gave up and returned to his teacher. "I have failed," he said. "I never found the divine fertile field of which you spoke."
"Ah" said the teacher. "Are you sure you did not find it?"
"No." said the boy. "I traveled very far. I went to the icy mountains of the North and the warm sandy shores of the South. I went to where the sun rises and where the sun sets and I did not see any fertile field the likes of which you described, where I would build my home and dig a well, the place where I could plant seeds for harvesting."
"You did not fail, my boy. You found the fertile field. The fertile field is all around you in every direction as far as you can imagine. It is the fertile field of the divine where your every intention is planted and grows for you instantly. When you became thirsty, did you not find clean water to drink?"
"Well, yes." said the boy.
"And when you became hungry, did not food appear for you to be filled?"
"Yes, always."
"Did ever once you not find shelter when you looked for it?"
"I always found shelter when I needed it." said the young boy.
"The fertile field is everywhere waiting for you to plant the seeds of your intentions. As long as your intentions come from a loving heart, you will see your seeds of creative thought grow to full blossom." said his wise teacher.
"Close your eyes now and see the divine fertile field all around you. The field has been tilled and is ready for planting. The soil is rich and dark and row upon row as far as you can see is waiting for your seeds of intention. Think with your heart. What loving thing do you want to plant? A happy home? A happy family? A renewed spirit and planet? Is it peace of mind you desire? Is it a strong and fit body to enjoy? Feel your intentions as they are manifest right now. Feel love and appreciation in your heart. Allow the seeds to grow in every row, in every direction, as far as you can imagine. Feel the joy of your happiness taking to the soil to grow more happiness. Feel the greatness of abundant prosperity planted in your field. See yourself reaping the love and peace you have planted. Receive your harvest now."

Back to life.
My darling daughter and beautiful grandchildren left here on Saturday to return to Phoenix and school and their regular life. My house is very quiet now and I'm recovering from a bit of a cold.
Today I will take down the tree and pack away the snow globes and silver candles, door wreaths and any other decorations I find as I clean up. I like to leave myself notes in the boxes for next year. Little reminders of this Christmas and advice for next. I might pack a recipe we found or a photo of Marlie and Michael in the ocean on New Year's Day.
It's back to work now. Back to my readings, writing, teaching and my regular life. There are new classes I'm creating for those who cannot commit to the six month course. I have a few ideas for one day classes focusing on specific subjects. I'm developing a new workbook and have committed to complete the other book about my psychic gift and development. It's going to be a fun year for me, busy and fun.
